Tintype is a process pioneered just after the advent of photography in the 1852 by inventor Frederick Scott Archer.

I amongst a  few photographers who have been recently rediscovering the joy of this process which involves coating a meta plate with collodion and then sensitising using silver nitrate and making one-off positive plates.

Seeing the pictures online does not really do them justice, they have a wonderful almost three-dimensional quality to them.

I am now equipped with the both the skills and the equipment to make beautiful tintypes; so email me or phone if you would like a commission. 07703 987532
